Aloha mai kakou,
Today I had the pleasure of working with ke kula kaiapuni o Waiau. Had a chance to hai moolelo with them as well as huli ka lima i lalo. Here are some of the kii from today. Ke aloha, Kaleo I find myself nearly overwhelmed by the sound Hawaiian being spoken, via youtube, by a Hawaiian navigator on a double-hulled canoe as it crosses THE ATLANTIC OCEAN from Africa with "only" ancestral knowledge (and presence, and hō‘ailona) to show the way. The English version of this post – and many other Hōkūle‘a updates – can be found on the Hokulea Crew facebook page. -- Kihei de Silva |
