I had the pleasure of working with Malama Honua PCS K, 1, and 3rd grade came to Ulupo today, their entire school except for 2nd grade. We are making plans to host them every Monday since they come to the YMCA for swimming that day anyway. One of the kumu is the sister of Noa Hussey, the executive director of the YMCA. Besides being hard workers cleaning a loi, these kids are akamai loa and makaukau especially when it comes to oli/mele and retaining moolelo.
